On my Dell Studio 15 performance on many games slips after approx 5 mins of gameplay..

on Fallout 3 it is playable on medium settings for 5 minutes, after that frame rates become choppy and audio becomes extremely crackly.

The graphics card is a Mobility Radeon 4570

    Any help is appreciated!

    Probably thermal management system.

Don't use it on your lap ( use it on like a tea tray/desk or something)

When playing Fallout 3 i play on a desk, with good Ventilation, i also mount the rear of the laptop up on books to give better ventilation..

Try clearing it out of dust, by either blowing it or opening the laptop up getting a can of compressed air and cleaning it out that way.

Send it to a shop where they'll do it then. Or just blow a can of compressed air into the vents without opening the laptop

Is the bottom of your laptop often really hot? Sound like a heating problem to me Graphic card on laptops often cook them selfs to death.

Let us know how you get on dude.
