Remember how I wasn't going to buy a new record player, 'cos my old Aiwa would be fine?

    Whoops.

The old Aiwa's fine with old vinyl, but it does struggle with a lot of modern stuff. Bought a double-vinyl set that got delivered today, and it skips terribly - even after a thorough clean.

So: the cheapest replacement I could find (so close a replacement that everything's in the same place: speed left, start/stop right, even the indent for the adapter at the top-left) that has adjustable tracking pressure and anti-skate. Hunnertanfiffy, which I didn't think was too bad - the same price as the lower-end LP60X, which doesn't have all the adjustable bits.

I have that, it's really handy. Relatively compact but has a fair bit of oomph. On low it makes a decent air duster if you're careful.

Its very, I did have one but it got wet and just fizzed as soon as I put a battery in so I binned it for safety. Did a quick blast in the workshop today thank goodness I wore goggles and a respirator the saw dust was immense.

    Bought one of these.

Seems decent enough. It doesn't look any taller or wider than my current work bag, but I need to test-fit it in the bike's top box before I decide whether to keep it.

Saw one of those "Air duster guns" at 45% off on Amazon's daily deals, so decided I was done with buying canned air.

Bought this about two weeks ago from a mate. Forgot mum was having the house done, so got him to delay the shipping. Arrived earlier.

2002 Eastern Jane. I only got it because it was the cheapest frame I have ever bought (40 quid delivered) and these were got before hand.

It should look something like this. I am going to do it the same colour, as I dig it (olive)

@Vault-Tec Is my memory playing tricks on me or did you say at some point no more BMX gear?

Although if you stopped buying BMX gear I think I'd question my own reality.

There will be no more. I have everything I need to build that. Sick of moving all of the parts around, so will chuck it into a bike when I have the frame painted.

Whenever I see one or hear that car name for some reason my head pronounces it in an extremely thick Mexican accent.

    No idea why.

    wristrest.jpg

Couple of weird wrist-rests to try, as I've noticed a tendency to rest the bony part of my hand on the desk while I'm working. They're a bit weird: hard plastic in the shape of said bony bit, just above the wrist, and they've got the slidey things they put on mice underneath so you can skid your hand around the desk.

They've only just arrived, but they feel pretty good so far. We'll have to see what a full week's work is like, tho'.
