Klein tools are great and their mod box tool set is brilliant.

You mean Ghost of what used to be a decent game series but has become a slightly interactive movie with quick time events?

@Byron C - I was looking the other day as someone on YT was reviewing them - Craft Computing?

    Cheers for that.

    Just scanning through and...

Ah, beans... Might not be great for my use case then. I've been thinking off and on about setting up a dedicated Plex system here again, and ideally I'd want something that can handle dedicated GPUs to offload the encoding work. I have no idea how good iGPUs are these days; I'd happily test an iGPU first, but I'd rather have the ability to drop in a dedicated GPU if the iGPU chokes on high bitrate 4K HDR content.

Nope. Craft was using a 13 series not a 12.

I would imagine it just costs more. Not sure if it has the same issues, though I do remember him saying it only had 8 lanes. However, he doesn't seem to find ills with it. Well apart from it needing a beefier cooler in the rev video there.

The 13th gen 10729 board has 8 lanes of pcie 4.0 iirc. Didn't need anything that beefy and the 12th gen was under £120 from Ali.

The 13th gen does have a default bios unlock on the power limit, so it'll ramp as long as it has adequate cooling, but it does seem like a toasty boi for sff/nas applications.

    Adidas T-19 treadmill

That wasn’t cheap… I needed to make sure it had the weight capacity for my fat arse, so that ruled out a lot of lower-priced options. If it was within about 5kg that would be fine, but many of the models I was finding were 30 to 40 kilos below what’s needed... Though treadmills can run to pretty horrific prices, so this is still a relatively “budget class” option.

Sorry, bud, I missed your reply.

As said, the 12th gen board is not ideal for a dGPU. However, I have taken a punt on this for my smolboi rig. Time will tell if I can tune it to run with a LP HSF.

13th gen mobile and the 16x slot is wired for pcie 4.0 x 8. 3x nvme again, GbLAN and 2.5GbE, USB4 too.

Silly money again, maybe too good to be true this time? So I bought it on the credit card, and probably the main reason I only posted about the board for my NAS - didn't want to drag anyone down with me if it's a scam.

Car key shell is a bit buggered, the membrane around the buttons has split and the button was basically loose. Timpsons wanted £50 to replace the shell, but it turns out that it's a relatively simple job to replace it. So... car key shell from Amazon!

The second rig's Aorus B450i is a great little board, but it's gigabit LAN, no USB C and single m.2 really feels lacking in comparison to my other rig's Aorus B550i.

So I bought another one :D
    [IMG]

It was gurt cheap - I had no choice.

[edit] I just realised I've bought four motherboards in the last three weeks. It's fine, really. I don't have a problem. No sireee.

One is a motherboard, the others just her sisters.

    There's nothing wrong with Aunties.

Yeah, that link to the 13th gen mobile board and CPU is now dead - same when I click on it via "My Orders" in my AliExpress account page. Definitely a scam. Shocker.

Ninja is anything but boring. ****ing love it.

October 2015. We were moving into an unfinished house we were renting. We had a bed, a single wardrobe, chest of drawers and a TV stand. We did not have a particularly big budget, so we found some sofas on Amazon for £400 plus postage, with a bit of a wait. Found the company outside of Amazon to see if we could get it sooner, and they not only said they could get.it to us on the day we moved in, but they'd knock £100 off if we did cash. Bonus. They're only a stop gap till we get some proper....

9 years later, a new set of foam seats for one of them, busted zips and a whole bunch of escapades making forts for kids and acting as a scratch post for cats, its time for them to retire. Been lucking around a while and habit had a voucher code for £100 off when you spend £500, so we bit the bullet and went for something we saw a few weeks ago.

We're downsizing a little from a 3+2 to a 3+1, but the plan is once we've cleared downstairs of leftover DIY clutter, there'll be space enough for an accent chair or 2 in the dining room that can be brought through when needed. Will give us a few options for moving things round too.

How much did your [ IMG ] tag cost? (That's all I see. No adblockers used on Bit)
