lol, when your student loan is more than your tuition. I got about $16,000 in student loans for like my first year + 6 months, and I so far have 1 check of just under 2k coming to me. Probably getting more, since my tuition isnt all that much :D

There's a spring in the door so it stays open. I had to replace the hinges and bushing in my door and the only way to get the pin out is to take the spring out so $20 just to take a spring out

and there isn't any other way to do it

We used to make front coil spring compressors out of a couple pieces scrap alum bar with a couple long pieces of allthread rod and some nuts. Tighten the nuts to compress, remove the spring, fiddle about, put the spring back and and just chop the allthread rod with a bolt cutter. $3 or $4 for some stuff and throw it away.

Tools are expensive. Specialty tools moreso.

And the price of the dental work even more than that. I hate coil spring compressors. I heard the horror stories and didn't even like looking at them, not even when they weren't in use, would stand well back and look the other way if someone was using them, then cringe if I also heard the sound of an impact gun. I'm glad I never had to use them.

Never EVER sell tools. You can be certain that the day after you sell it, you will need it again :wallbash:

Then I guess I'll buy a new one

The guy at the tool store said this is the first time he's sold one and he has been working there for 5 years

as soon as the spring was out I unloaded it with the spring held tightly to the bench. I could have left it loaded while I worked but I thought I might as well unload it and be safe, rather than sorry

A case of beer and a couple of bottles of booze, it was a weekend AND a house warming party.. Sheesh.

Also a laptop, 2*2 GB C2D, 4 GB memory, 1440x900 screen... 120 GB hard drive if I remember correctly. Should get it tomorrow, can't wait. Overall it will be faster than my housemate's desktop :) Just lacking on the graphics...
