I got Space Force for 22p on GMG yesterday, and Xcom Enemy Within dlc for £6.59 today. Couldn't resist at 75% Off.

Thanks anyway George, I picked up a Divinity: Original Sin gift key from G2A for £16.95 and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor for 13.26 - quite good discounts!

I do have a lot of past steam purchases. Much of which I haven't even played. I'm just wondering what's going on in Gabe's head. It certainly isn't HL3.

I very much doubt Gabe has anything to do with the sale, especially when it comes to the games in it and the discounts they get. ;)

Gone are the days of 75%+ discounts on everything, and the full base price don't go down as fast any more, so it's a double whammy. GoG have the same games at lower full prices and generally have more games at higher discounts, so they're the go-to place now for many games for me.

A good example is Among The Sleep. It's on sale on Steam right now for £5.09, but I'm waiting to see if GoG do a Xmas sale (since they already did a big winter one) because full price they're cheaper, which means they just need to give a discount of 60% or more to be a better deal, and GoG do big discounts.

I agree with what you are saying, but that isn't a good example lol! :thumb:

A good example would be a game thats on sale in a Steam daily/flash/vote deal at the moment and is cheaper elsewhere. Not a game that may or may not be cheaper on GoG at some point.

Like South Park: The Stick of Truth. Currently £13.59 on daily and £8.99 on Amazon UK. :)

I used that example to show that Steam is so uncompetitive now (compared to how it was beating everyone by huge margins in the good old days) that I'm prepared to wait for a sale that may not even happen to get the game much cheaper (and DRM-free in GoG's case). Or it's like saying that Steam will never get as low as somewhere else will more likely get, so I'm not even bothering to buy it on Steam even during one of their bigger discounts.

    That is an incredible deal.

Also, WreckFest is on sale for the next 6 hours! Its such good fun - no other game has me in fits of laughter within the first 10 seconds of starting.

Bought Witcher 2 and splinter cell: blacklist last night for less than £6 combined to add to the collection. Might not play them for a few years, but that's hardly the point is it?

GMG gaming are offering a free gift for linking my steam account with their playfire setup.

Anyone done this and is it worth it?
