I've decided to get a new monitor to replace my 19" CRT due to lack of desk room. I also want my PC monitor to double as a television for my room. Should I: 1. Buy a new LCD computer monitor as well as a TV tuner for television? (I've never used one of these before, and I'm not sure how they work.) or: 2. Buy an LCD TV with a VGA input to be used as my primary PC monitor. If I went this route, I'll probably spend more and get an integrated ATSC Tuner. Here are some of my options: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824009094 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824009089 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889252016 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889022027
TVs have a far lower resolution so it would be best to get a Screen with a tuner as well, not a tv and vga input.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889107005 I have that HDTV, I love it. But I do wish it was higher resolution. It looks nice as a monitor, but I would like more "surface area" you get with higher resolution. The negative reviews, they probably just have some hearing loss and forgot how to work a remote, lol. I don't have a single problem with my tv.
How would this one fit my needs? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889130003 With a recommended DVI res of 1680x1050, I suspect it might look pretty good for a PC monitor.
i have a 20" lcd and its great as a monitor but when you start getting a little further away to use as a tv its kinda small
