macbook DVD drive?

    Hi, I have a friend who wants to buy THIS MACBOOK (I know there is a newer one available but because of an insurance claim she can only purchase from currys and pcworld. I dont know why they do not stock the newer one, apple exclusivity?) anyway thats beside the point..

    My question is, does this model read DVD's? Browsing around I think it does although Curry's list DVD Drive as 'NO' yet DVD Drive speed as '4x.' I imagine they mean DVD Drive as one that can burn DVD's which is not an issue for my friend.

    Anywho, thanks in advance for any replies :thumb:

    Yeah it reads DVDs, it's a DVD-ROM CDRW combo drive.

    Even my iBook G3 reads DVDs :D
