Seriously, I don't understand why so many Americans (and to a lesser extent, people everywhere else) are willing to let the government parent their children. This is not what we have government for. It is what we have parents for. The game is rated M. 17 and up. That would be the key to let parents know to keep their young'uns away. It pisses me off when they claim that it causes kids to go and kill everyone. This pisses me off more. What are the kids gonna do, go and screw everyone they see? Its not like it's hard for kids to get porn, which brings us back to the whole "being a parent" thing.

Sex... It's how your children got here in the first place. Like anything it has to be approached carefully and responsibly, but to completely avoid it is going to be just as damaging as sexualizing children to early.

Plus it's a game that is rated mature if children have it and shouldn't, in most of the cases it will be the fault of negligent parenting. In summation I wish people would stop trying to force their beliefs on me. If they want to raise their children like that it is fine with me, I respect that, but don't try and attack me for you not being able to control your children.

 

This whole thing reminds me of an episode of Extras where he asked a mother to keep her son quiet (who had Downs syndrome) and how the media blew it out of proportion.

I just love how they're commenting on something they haven't seen though. 5 seconds on google and they could have found the video of the scene. *shakes head* Scary thing is that Australia is almost as bad when it comes to nudity.

That psychologist has nothing better to do in her life obviously. If kids don't see this part in the game there's plenty more chances in their life where they'll find and look through dads porn stash or watching Eurotrip or whatever typical movie this day that displays SOME nudity, I don't see her talking about that? Those movies contain REAL human flesh, this computer game contrains COMPUTER GENERATED IMAGERY, I for one know I couldn't get off on CGI porn, well who knows about kids these days.

The game is rated Mature and she argues "but we know most of the people PLAYING the games are kids NOT adults", that's great why doesn't she point that problem with all the porno being around?

She's also giving comment on a game she hasn't even played herself, relying on someone else's experience/opinion to deliver an argument. I have to say she is one stupid cow.

Sadly loads of people will be watching this on TV and will be going "OMG, OMG, what should we do now, OMG" and panic...

Holy damn, I hope they really are that bad otherwise that is a little far. Destroying someones career over an opposing viewpoint is a little petty.

Perhaps sending here an email or letter and discussing ones own view point in a mature intelligent fashion would have been a better approach.

mmmm lets see, hours and hours of Mass effect to see a few dumb seconds of a supposedly sex scene, or 3 seconds googling and get to watch a full on hard core double penertration sex dvd of your flavour thats 2 hours long.

I totally agree, the Simpsons and Family guys should be rated 15+ if you consider the whole season because of the Halloween episode and the sparse nudity or sexual references ... (if I would agree with american ratings, which I do not)
