After my stay in the luxurious IT Unité curtousy of a fall down stairs, I was petrified of staircases, especially ones with solid uncarpeted floor at the bottom. Was even worse at night and our bathroom was across the landing, which had 2 or 3 step drop and then back up to the bathroom. I couldn't force myself across no matter how desperate, so I had to take an empty bottle to bed for a quite some time after. I'm over it now, but I occasionally have a wobble on stairs and get a bit freaked out.
Oh, ****! You made me scan through the 'ruining my life' thread, which I usually avoid like the plague, because of stuff like that. I originally bumped you for the new kiddies to see one of the original Bit-Tech heroes...and a little teasing. Take it easy, and I hope everything turns out for the better.
Gradually picking this one up again in my retirement... Did the tricky bit of loop between radiator and reservoir. To my own surprise the bits aligned. (And in case you're wondering: retirement is friggin' awesome.)
Happy for you retirement, also because you will finally have the time to finish this incredibly beautiful and impressive machine.
Fortunately for us, the bees didn't like the extra attention. It's good to see you back at it. The new kids are probably thinking, "What? It's just a tube!" Meanwhile, I'm hoping there's enough left of this forum to generate a page of replies like the old days.
Nonsense. The seals will be fine right up to the moment you fiddle with it. -Like old plumbing valves that keep a seal for 40 years until you decide to try to turn it off for something.
@Arboreal - You got me wondering, so just I counted the jar of compression caps left from valves I've changed. 98... not including the one I did yesterday, and I have to change one behind a toilet today. I'd celebrate the milestone, but I only started collecting the caps when I noticed how many I was tossing.
Awesome to see this is still going. Loved your first mod, can't wait to see your progress on this too!
