    because eek if you have a media center from a shop or built your own and you're using MCE2005. You get a MCE remote and reciever, hence the keyboard doesn't come with one.

    The one that i had seen at bestbuy had a trackball, was a HP demo, maybe the keyboard was hp to....i liked the trackball....no problems though id like to have an HTPC but dont...

    Hate to reopen a thread that may be old, but I have the original HP MCE remote kit for my media pc install, The remote is super slick, stunningly like the keyboard itself anyway, unlike the slightly (direct Tv, or otherwise generic satelite/universal remote) microsoft remote.
