I've had my blooo cathode from pcmods since sept, and until a few weeks ago it was great. It started 'shorting out', as in it would occasionally reset the power of whatever it was connected to (in my case, the HD.) Anyway, after two reformats (not with stuff installed, I had to in order to use the HD at all) I realized the cathode was at fault, most likely the inverter. At that point I was so annoyed I took it out and put it in its box. Today I got a lil bored and missed the lil guy, so I took him out and took off all the torn away black tape around the two white wires going to the cathode tube from the inverter. I wrapped plenty of black tape around the wires to possibly prevent more shorts. I checked all the connections and none seem loose. I'm testing it now and haven't heard any dreaded clicks in my HD, yet...

Think this solution should work for me or does anyone else know of any other causes? The HD only faulted cuz it was linked with the cathode molex connector.
