    How ? By dragging the edges ? That's the only way I found and it's stupid

    Most applications use the green button to 'zoom' to the most appropriate size at the time. If you Alt-click the green button it'll maximise the window in the vast majority of applications. It's not the default option because it isn't the most effective in all cases.

    I'm really looking forward to getting my new MBP in August, but before I decided on that, I was going to get a Mac mini and 24" Apple display. I still might get the display, after the MBP though.
