I bought GRID for 7.50$Can. It was quite funny until I realized I had to download all 10.5GB of it :hehe:

now I don't know what to do. If I download it it's going to cost me like 30$ for busting my bandwidth limit, which defeats the whole purpose of buying the game for cheap haha

Borrow the disc from someone? You can pause the update midway through, you could download in chunks.

Could always ask someone to make a backup of it from within steam then send you the DVD-R's?

Well I got the Orange box on special a few months back and because I already had HL2, I've a spare copy just sitting there ready to gift.

If anyone has experience of this, let us know.

There's a thread on this, it might actually be worth creating a sticky'd Steam swap/trade/pay-for thread so that people can do things between themselves. :thumb:

Damn you Steam, good job I cleared out my hard drive recently!

Deffo getting GRID, my mate had the PS3 version and it's a fun game.

Is Far Cry 2 worth it for a tenner?

It depends on whether beauty could make crushingly awful gameplay worthwhile. I suspect a good comparison would be living with Kate Moss - undeniably very nice to look at, but on the downside she spends her time buggering up her life and yours in a very frustrating manner. 90% of the game is spoiled by the remaining 10% - things like respawning enemies, total lack of allies, catastrophically slow movement over two overlarge maps, and overdone disease mechanic.

Suffice to say I don't think anyone on the forum persevered for very long with this one, which is a shame, because it is very pretty.

I think I'll pass then, I can always get it for £9.99 on Play if I had too.

I think at £10 it's borderline - Puresilver just about lays all its problems out, but it's very pretty and also very entertaining for a few hours. After a couple of hours it gets very boring though. I only finished it for the sake of it - I don't like to leave a game unfinished once I've started.

Not exactly interrested in this batch, although GRID is tempting. Can't wait to see what's in the next batch.

I got that THQ bundle when it was last on sale.

Only downloaded DoW: II so far, and it's crap.

Already got GRID, but Osmos looks like it's going to get bought.

Anyway, guesses for the next sales?

I reckon TF2/the orange box (hopefully L4D) will get another look in, orange box @ £5.66 is probably the best fiver I've ever spent, I think I've paid about 10p/hour of entertainment on it so far. ;)

I predict Shattered Horizon on a cheap deal tbh. I heard wisperings from someone the other day.

It's 7am and like a ravenous beast, frothing at the mouth, I've booted up to see what goodies they have for us next ...

Still got 9 hours before it gets updated!

    4pm GMT.

EDIT: stickies good idea. (changed my mind ... again.)

I resisted buying Osmos as the demo was quite addictive and I didn't want to have all my free time eaten up. Goodbye free time.

Some bargains to be had that's for sure, looking forward to seeing what gets put up in the next batch.

Don't you love it how 24 hours in the world of steam is more like 34 hours?!

It was actually over 40 hours :/ Really don't get that. Anyhoo, Farcry 2 gets too much hate on this forum.

    The bad: checkpoints.

    The good: gunplay, graphics, story.

The great: assassination by rocket launcher from 500m :D
