is it just me then who dont understand whats meant to be the illusion? or the effect? as far as i can see its just a gif animation file....
stare at the middle and your eyes will see the dots go around, then they dissapear as it goes round then comes back
sorry to have to quote myself ...sad i know... if i animated a bunch of dots going round would it be an optical illusion?
The idea is at first you see the 'blank' dot going round, then when you stare into the centre you no longer see the 'blank' got, but instead see the pink dot change to green. At least that's what I see. PS: Has anyone else noticed the annoying red mark at 10 o'clock?
I see the green dot like trigger, not what lith and webbyman see strange that we see different things.
Dear god, look at it again. Stare at the center, the blanked out dot changes to green and the pinks dissapear. Relax your eyes and they return to normal, stare again and it goes green. [sarcasm]Bloody good animated gif than can figure out when to change colour as i change focus[/sarcasm]
ok this exactly what i see when i stare at the centre, but even when i relax my eyes or look away and come back to look at it, all i can see is the pink dots just changing into the green one as it goes round and round...no matter which way i focus...., so the way i thought of it is as animated gif of 12 pink dots which change into green one after the other and obviously go back to being pink afterwards... make sense no?
That's amazing. felix, I don't think you're seeing the illusion properly. You don't really need to change your focus, just look at the cross in the middle.
OMG, that is awsome. Felix,if this helps, When you stare at the cross the pink dots eventualy dissapere(SP?) and all thats left is a green dot going around and around. But what gets ya is the green dot is acualy not there.
