I'm to lazy to be tech support for life so these days I send parents to dell and pick the machine for them. Yes it costs £50-£100 more but its a cost worth paying not to get 20 phone calls a week been tech support for something you build.

why no one suggests one of the ITX mobos with mSATA (Wifi) and swap out WiFi for mSATA SSD for a hyper small build? (works with the gigabyte Z77 MOBO)

Because it's expensive! You get the same performance for much less money with Micro-ATX and a regular SSD. Unless size is an issue or a priority of course.

PC is all built, and really quick, kinda wish I could keep it! The SSD was a great idea, regret not taking the advice on the modular PSU though, it was VERY tight with all the cables in. When I work out how, I'll stick up some pics

Stuck that in for a size comparisson, is a nice little case!

Yeah lesson already learnt, but to be fair, if i had sent them to Dell, they would still have called me first!

So below is the new build for the parents in law, they do a bit more gaming and photo editting and wanted to spend a bit more...

    LIAN LI PC-A04B
    Intel Core i5 3470 s1155
    MSI H77MA-G43 H77
    8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance PC3-12800 (1600)
    430W BeQuiet BN180 PurePowerL8
    128GB SSD SanDisk
    1GB ASUS HD6670
    500GB SEAGATE 7200RPM SATA3
