I'm to lazy to be tech support for life so these days I send parents to dell and pick the machine for them. Yes it costs £50-£100 more but its a cost worth paying not to get 20 phone calls a week been tech support for something you build.
Haha I did consider that tbh... I've got to deliver this machine to my parental who live 160 away! !! All ordered though, will post some pics tomorrow if it comes...!
why no one suggests one of the ITX mobos with mSATA (Wifi) and swap out WiFi for mSATA SSD for a hyper small build? (works with the gigabyte Z77 MOBO)
Because it's expensive! You get the same performance for much less money with Micro-ATX and a regular SSD. Unless size is an issue or a priority of course.
PC is all built, and really quick, kinda wish I could keep it! The SSD was a great idea, regret not taking the advice on the modular PSU though, it was VERY tight with all the cables in. When I work out how, I'll stick up some pics
Nice work mate, it's be good to see a few shots before you lose it! Have a lot of rep for your troubles
Right here are those pics...little late Just building a machine for the parents in law now.. Slightly bigger budget so put an i5 in, and graphics card, and mATX, and a lian - Li case, the will post the spec and some pics when I've built it!
Stuck that in for a size comparisson, is a nice little case! Yeah lesson already learnt, but to be fair, if i had sent them to Dell, they would still have called me first! So below is the new build for the parents in law, they do a bit more gaming and photo editting and wanted to spend a bit more...
