I don't think it would be very fun having Dell looking over your shoulder as you work. It would be like taking a job under someone you picked on in the 4th grade.:worried:

I am looking forward to seeing the new AW modded, though. The gills are just asking to be re-built.

First, Awesome work, Bill! - been lurking a few of your mods, and i must say that you surprise me every single time! :)

Second. I really like the idea about using those plastic wires for sata cable "enclosures", but where do i get those and what are they called if i'm going to google them or ask for them in the local hardware store? :p

They are called "split wire looms" in the US. Any automotive store like Checker's , etc. will have them. That works in Google images too. Many sizes available.

You can also pick those up at hardware stores (in the U.S.) like Lowe's or Home Depot. I've picked them up there before for a prior build that I worked on.

The question is... which Home Depot?

The case looks mean... Hope someone avoids it for fear of getting GhanaSyphaHerpalitis from it at CES!

Radioshack carries this stuff too, but it is probably more expensive per foot vs. home depot.

The answer to can you paint a board is yes, so long as there are no metallic pigments.
