What sort of car themed mod would be complete without a number plate (licence plate).

So cut out a piece of 1mm aluminium and shaped it number plate ish - drilled out 4 mounting holes and also into the front case bezel and tapped them to 6/32 and there you have it.........complete with my own photochopery skillz as to how it will look once its been to the painter.

Just before it goes, i marked out the entire case design with 8mm fine line tape - cut the window out and its good to go to DP Custompaints for another masterpiece :)

Well i dropped the case off at the painters on Saturday so hopefully it should be done by the weekend so can start getting the system in place but until then i decided to make a top logo similar to the ZOTAC mod.

Stuck some 1.5mm aluminium to 3mm thick blue plexi then printed out the individual letters in the correct font onto a piece of paper and stuck those to the alu for a template.

Once they were cut they just needed a little filing and sanding ready for to add the LED's :)

I got a youtube video to follow just to give an idea of fret saw work but not sure what that will be like :D

I decided to lightly sand these letters to give a brushed sort of finish a bit like the eVGA X58 logo

Anyway, added a few blue LED's to match the blue theme and hopefully the case should be back for the weekend at some point when the real fun begins :)

Are you going to figure out a way to stealth the wires powering the LEDs?

Great work so far, I voted for the case in your avatar. :0

thanks for those taking the time to follow :thumb: and yeah docodine, all wires will be stealthed just like the ZOTAC one :)

    Hmmmm, what can we build today..................oh i know, a couple of pump/res combo's :)

Done it before but new log, new pictures.

Basically just using a couple of XSPC Bay-Res, two Alphacool plexi tops and two DDC pumps.

Just a case of tapping the reservoirs with 6/32" tap then using some silicon sealer to be on the safe side, screwed the whole lot together, add a few Bitspower barbs and viola...

And before anyone says it - i will be rinsing them both out to get rid of all the plexi shavings.

damn you really love water cooling. Two loops is one for the graphics cards and the other loop for the memory and CPU. Good job I will be checking this thread again.:rock::rock::clap::clap::clap:
