have seen a few reviews for the areocool watch gate, looks pretty sweet, but: 1) no option to turn the alarm off, and it automaticlly come on between temps of 25C and 90C 2) no 3 pin to 4 pin converters, and the controller doesn't take 4 pin fans 3) has a dodgy cartoon pic on it :S 4) slow responce to fan chages other than that great
hello again sorry for the lack of updates. The project has been on standby for a while whilst i got my college stuff sorted, now that is done and dusted the project can begin i have till the 25th of august the get this done so hopefull that will be plenty of time. iv got a load of uv blue plexi sitting here that hopefully i can make use of iv already got some ideas the system has been stripped back down. from its ghetto state ready for modding. So far if got a few things done. -the hd rack has been removed, the harddisks will be mounted in waterblocks in the 5/14" bays - noise killer feet have been mounted instead of casters as this will be mainly on my desk - the psu will be mounted on the second psu mount about the mother board side. - iv gained a digidoc 5+ in black that i hope to fit in to provide a control for the fans. the project kicks off as of tommorow so stay tuned Sc4mpi out.
scm4pi...you have the "Mother of all cases." I like it! I just sold my silver V1000 and got a V2000B Plus. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet but I will make it work. I am sure you can appreciate all of the room in the new case. What do your temps CPU and GPU temps look like in the new rig?
This has been a pain in the arse this week, but iv manged to get most of the bits ordered so lots of yummy parts arriveing then the fun begins , i wish this had all happend sooner so i could continue with the project, but its all arriving in a dribs and drabs anyhows. orderd the following parts - Athlon 64 4400+ x2 - 3 hd -o- matics - 2 agb -o- matics - 9 meters of tube. - 2x 1meter squared sheets of blue plexi - 12 uv cold cathodes - another bulgin antivandel. - lots of braiding - Black ice pro dual i was also contemplating a tagen 2force 580watt sli. but i dunno it will will be any better than the existing powerstream.. anyhow it hasnt realy done much other than sit on my desk but heres a snap of how it is at the moment. The loops will be most probily. header tanks, pumps, bip dual, cpu, gpu1 gpu2, 120.3, chipset, 120.1, hd1 hd2 hd3 pumps
Not to insult anyone on this board, but If you're looking for a very detailed advice about your watercooling system head over to www.procooling.com . When it comes to watercooling, those guys are very scientific (lots of testing about flow rates, pressure drops etc), and their advice tends to be top notch. Good luck!
ill read procooling frequently. but there nothing wrong with my loop as such. they no all the info about 1/2" performance loops. but this is a 10mm small bore german loop. many of the rules dont realy apply to this sort of setup Anyhows. iv sold the 3500 and a8n. just picked up a Dfi lanparty sli-dr and a tagen 580 2force sli See you all soon
he'd get flamed to death for even showing a pic of his rig because it's not 1/2"ID or larger over there sc4mpi - if you sold the 3500... what proc are you getting? err... nevermind, saw 4400+ a few posts back. lemme know how you like it, I really want one
whay some of the bits arived this morning two of the hd blocks and a header tank and a black ice pro dual.
just to be slightly o/t, where did you get that BIX2 from? I'm after a single one with no barbs, just 1/4" fittings
In last pic, the airflow to PSU is being blocked by the cables. Try mounting the PSU upside down so the cables dont block anything possibly?
if i could mount te psu the other way round it would sover a hell of a lot of problems only problem is i cant the mountings are one way only plus the cables are running through the dead spot of the fan so it should be fine. ill haft to see if the tagens any diffrent when it arrives ?
such a simple solution to a simple problem. of course drilling new holes means you still have the old ones, and random holes in cases tend to be rather fugly, especially in $300+++ cases.
I ordered mine from here They use UPS which take about 3 days to deliver from ordering - not that bad really
