great to see something a little unusual - very few people seem to have done custom moulding.
Slightly more bulbous than my personal preference, but I imagine it's harder to do sharper corners.
    Keep us updated.

It is harder to do sharp edges, i prefer the smooth edges though, as they show better colour change in the paint!!! each to there own though!!

Personally, I'd go for the bigger mesh.

    Amazing.

The apiont job is not, finished yet, there is still a little orange peel.
Also i have not sprayed the clear laquer yet, to protect the apint and to reflect the light better and make the metallic aprticles stand out more, for a more vivd colour change.!!

The spray job was done by myself, with spray cans!!!

Should get a spray gun really, but finish is coming out ok!!

    Small update

Due to the fit of the dvd drive, the eject will be permenatly pressed in. This emant a liitle cuttong back of the bezel, and seen as there is no soace or hole for the eject button to be pressed by, re-posotioning of the eject button!

Although i have not decided on it final position just yet!!

Also fitted the drive so that you could see that it only ocupied one drive bay, as many people have asked!!

Temporary button at the mo, just a tester

    Drive mounted - quickly!!

That looks really nice, almost like a custom sub install in the back of a trunk.

Loving the color also, good work.

that is really cool. I'll be definitely using the techiques you are using on my future, when i get enough money, computer.

i really like the optical drive. That position would be perfect for my computer as it sits on the floor next to the computer desk. I was reaching down to where your drive would be located, and it is in the perfect position.

Very nice work. I love what you've done and will be following what you're doing with close interest as I have planned to do something similar on my next mod.

I'm sorry to pick at such complex work as this but on the side view (cd installed) the surface (see reflected light) doesn't look quite smooth (flat). Is this an optical illustion from this angle?

The surface is not perefctly flat just there, there are a few minor marks in the surface!!

Although this is not the top coat, so the inperfections can be taken when i add more paint and sand down, and then add laquer!!

Well spotted, i hadnt notice that one!!

What colours do you reckon i should spary the chassis itself?

And the components, dvd etc, as these dont have to be the same colour?

I was going for metaliic silver internals, but maybe wanted some thing a little more bright!!

    any ideas???

the mesh is form a car spares shop. And is for filling the gaps in bumpers, air scoops etc!

I got it here from a place called halfords? So in US & canada you will probably find it in car body shops, hardware stores, car parts shops?

Sorry cant be of more help
