I peed a little when you showed that cracked piece. I would have screamed like a 5-year-old girl if I had broken that!! Thank god you know what you're doing and can fix stuff like that!

 

thanks guys, and yes bartacus, i actually did want to cry. the wood was a little bent and i thought i would straighten it a bit by bending it 6the otehr way and all of a sudden i had two pieces. you can imagine what a shock it was. one of the carved in grooves making it look like planks gave in and it snapped. but good thing is i could fix it very well because it was that groove, so i am not even sure anymore wher the crack was, its so clean again. oh well **** happens.
i have almost finished wiring this baby up, i guess after a little more tweaks and getting the left over fittings and shields on, i am actually finished. the screen and camera and doors are all working fine in automatic and manual mode. i have to make a new blueray tray drawer front. the old one doesnt work.

sorry you cant see much of your hardware, actually nothing of it, but my concept is as always not compromisable.

the screen is wired and working, i had to elongate the wires though with soft ones so it doesnt get blocked when retreating into the case. and i have some pictures with more details, more to come though. so far everything is working out good.

I had missed this log. Mind blowing awesome. There is so much going on with this case you could have split the ideas into three or four cases.

My one criticism is you really should buy some gloves for painting.

Thx Guys. @flix, ses tue White Fans arte on purpose. Sou cant See the actual fans Laster, übt you can See the White light.
I wanted only White Leeds ans lighting here. No modern led Colors popping up. Redcwould habe also worked though depicting the viking langer, gut i habe done red so many Times and wanted to male Change here. Only clean White, just like faire or klares or torchesvof tat time.
The leds Look blueish in the Fotos, will try to better tat in the final pics, they are White.

 

yeah thx, i Keep Hearing that a Lot, übt i Need to feel my Art, so i am Sure the gloves i bought will nevervget paint on them.

thx waynio and the good thing is, it seems as if i will have it ready for the german casemodding championship at the gamescom after all. i am almost there, today i fixed on all bits and pieces of iron fittings imitates i made.
the electro divies are working, door opening, kamera elevating, monitor swinging out. all looks bright.
here some impressions. by the end of the wekk it will be finished and i will have some better fotos after polishing it up and then a video will follow with descriptions of all its functions and features.

hi cheapskate, yeah, i will make better lighter ones when itzs finished.
these were last night.
still a bit to go then will make the final pics and a video to demonstrate all the automation etc.. and the overall idea and concept.

it still needs some work on the back and front bottom as well a few tweaks here and there. some more iron fittings which are still not stuck on yet too.

here are the maybe last fotos before RAGNARS REVENGE leaves the basement workshop and moves up the ladder to the living room for polish and photos.

some pics of its back side when opened. beware to all those casemods who stand next to it at the DCMM at the gamescom. when RAGNAR spreads his arms, he back slashes everything in his way off the table.

next post will most probably be the better pixeled final post, i think.......

have made one video, dont like the lighting very much and havent really explained the details, but here it is anyway. it looks so light and is actually much extremer in color.

RAGNARS REVENGE, is complete, witn all its legendary elements like the helmets with horns which didnt exits, as well as elements from the series vikings and other elements that are either proven or disproven to be true. it was a great theme and has turened out very well.
it really looks as if it just got bemed out of the 8th century to us.

The Anglican and North Men history is of a violent but also bold nature.
A history of kings killing kings and commoners killing commoners.
Nevertheless, the Vikings play a vital role in telling the story of how this great country was
forged in the wake of Valhalla.
I would like to portray this story in a tale that sends a chill down a grown mans spine.
A story that must be told told in the mysterious and sinister spirit of three words.


BRAVERY,, BRUTALITY, BLOODSHED.

Because these 3 words are what one could expect when the NORTH MEN sails were seen upon the horizon.

As the Viking Warrior drew his sword, clenched his shield and bared it broad
He stood up stout, no sign of fear, And loud he`d shout, so enemies hear
Tonights the night, now is the time, the last bell sounds the last hour chime

its a DARK THEME FROM A DARK TIME. so i have onle used white warm and cold leds and kept them very subtle.
i have said enough now lets dive into the RAGARS REVENGE theme in the pictures.

RAGNAR`S REVENGE​

the most interesting thing is, it all started just with a idea and this little sketch. when i see the worklog and the final pics i realise what a journes and odyssey building it was. now its off to the DCMM in August at the Gamescom, so keeps your fingers crossed.

 

Mod of the year, right there. Can't wait for the video to see how it all actually works!
