GTR is about the best racing game I have ever known, amazing fun with the Logitech G25.

Failing that for a more arcade style but still fun experience Test Drive Unlimited is good fun :)

I'd reckon Gran Turismo or GriD, I never liked either purely because of the realism of the handling

You're joking, right? Please tell me you're joking.

I hated GRiD because of the unrealistic handling. I love Gran Turismo for the handling though, but it's completely different to GRID.

grid is a childs crash fest, it is not a racing game nor a driving simulator.

Grid is more fun when drunk, oh the tears you get from some people by hitting reverse off the start line.

    Childish but hilarious.

if you want realism, forget about anything on console and anything from codemaster/EA

The most well known names among the sim racing community are GTR2, GTR Evolution, Live for Speed and rFactor

Those are all supported by big and dedicated communities that just love racing. Unlike codemaster/EA games, these are not commercial games that will be there for a few months only (until the next yearly release). Some have been there for years (Live for Speed) and just keep on being updated by modders

None of them look great by any means. They actually look worse than all of the new racing games but it's actually a good thing because you don't get framerate drops or hiccups while playing, which is important when playing online with very, very skilled drivers.

AAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNND after typing this whole thing I realized that the OP was voted a troll and that his 3 posts were useless threads he started ...

    damn it

I never really got on with GTR. I always preferred rFactor for some reason.

many years ago I had cracked GTR2. Since I knew how the gameplay was, when I got my G25 I bought GTR Evolution. I never tried rFactor because I didn't want to switch back and forth between two different handling styles

Trackmania. Maybe not a driving sim, but WOW what an addictive little game that is.

Also, sorry Ghys but I lol'd at you for actually feeding the troll/bot so much relevant information :hehe:

    Oh Em Gee!
I had forgotten Mass Effect! It has a totally awesome BMW in it, unlike the one in San Andreas
