I like to think he has a big mattress to break his fall at the bottom. Butterflies are caught by the contemplative hand while swift moves crush wings.
Thats so sad...=( its really the kind of thing. I really wish the animator would put a matress at the end. it was really funny the way he set all of it up though XD
its not sad all the way, in fact its only sad when u realise that the little guy has gone splat. Up until that point it was moving, and fun.
Well, I didn't think it was sad. Putting a mattress at the end would ruin the whole point of the little thing - the point is not that people should be able to follow their dreams and always come out alright at the end. That would have no value because it would be false. The point the animator made(which I took to be that it's ok to die after living, and the only thing that little birdy wanted to do in life was fly) was much more touching.
