Thing is... it almost looks, wrong. San Andreas, or more so the engine is what gave me the biggest laughs. Such as trying to carjack a small car and ending up 40000 feet in the air for no reason >.<
I've still got that ahead of me (septemberish) Didn't mind the GTA3 engine...lost me on some of the package-hunt levels though...i'm not good at time pressure racing
GTA IV was the worst port i've used in a long, long time. The whole game just feels sluggish no matter what; feels like your keyboard WASD keys are mechanically attached to strings which pull on an Xbox controller's analog stick. BLEH.
I totally agree with you for the on-foot sections, but driving was crisp and responsive. I wonder why the controls could be so good for one aspect of the game, but so poor elsewhere.
Still vice city for me purely for how the in game sensitivity slider works. But then i didn't buy 4 on release.
Not graphical but SAMP (San Andreas Multiplayer) mod has given me and my mates countless hours of fun. Truly one of the best mods around
I bough the rockstar pack during the steam sales but I then found out none of the mods work on version 3.0 of SA.
