    Update -small one- 5.6.2009

Small update, hadn't much time, but i will continue tomorrow.

Did some cutting and here's my method to mark curves:

After bending and cutting, part fits quite nicely:

I did another one in the second end, but forgot to take pictures. :(

Here's after welding, i'm starting to remember how to weld, the colour of joint starts to look as it should. (golden) This side will be painted and i will sand those ugly weldings later.

    Test fitting....

    Fits like it supposed:

Not much, but i will continue tomorrow. Now you might get better idea of my plans. ( if i'm not sick in the morning. ;))

Btw. That makroclear polycarbonate behind the last picture, is uv-resistive it blocks also uv-black light. :( Remember that if you're going to use it.

@ Jeff, i add you to my msn tomorrow, now i'm going to go listen some good music. [IMG]

    Thank's Bill. :)

Didn't get much done, so little baby steps, but the direction is right.

Added little piece for the front:

    And another...

    Cutted some plates:

Did some bending, and here's the bending brake which i have used:

    Attached with tig:

Here's the support for the hinge:

Welded parts together, used tig again and the bumber frame is done, needs still a bumber:

And now its time to do some paper models for the side parts of the roof:

Thanks MIGUI, much appreciate your nice words. :)

You might have noticed the quality of my paper models, so it shouldn't be suprise that i decided to dump all paper models.

Here's little progress for the other side of the top part:

Bended welded and sanded, you might see that the part under the hood will look quite clean when finished:

My intention is to give samekind of look for the case as it is in 60-70's american cars. Just because i like them. :)

Forgot to take "making" pictures, but the methods are same like earlier, so it shouldn't be big miss.

At first I was a bit baffled by the up-side-down of the case, but it's getting there.

Actually i'm not going to place mb up-side-down, IO will be placed down like my earlier projects:

I will use hinges in backpanel, so you can open it and pull out the mb-tray/ case-interior, to connect the cables. I just don't like ugly cables in backpanel.

@ Jeff, yeah its quite hard to give tips over the "internet", my english sucks and i think it would be much easier to just show, than try to explain something.

I liked the idea, but i will start to make it later, need to make frame first. :)

    Little progress:

Test painting, to see where i need to do some smoothing. Paint can be removed with water:

Paint sure gives more finished look. More progress tomorrow, i hope. :)

    Thanks mates.

Thats somekind of marking paint for industrial use, don't know the brand, because bottle doesn't tell it. We use it for help marking, lines made with spike are easier to see in white surface than shiny. I'll remove it before final painting.

Here's somekind of drawing for my intentions for the top:

I like to make "big part" first and make cuts then, that's easier for me.
