    less than 48 hours 'til the start... here's hoping my jury-rigged cpu cooler holds up to 10 of folding... [fan died and I broke one of the wire clips trying to remove it ¬_¬]

    Any flags worth putting in to get more points on a 2600k? advmethods or anything like that?

    First time I've seen an 8104, but I like it; 490,787.9 PPD, 00:08:10 TPF :thumb::thumb:;)

    'client-type: advanced' [what was advmethods in the CLI client] or 'client-type: beta' tend to give you newer cores/units and better PPD [I use the latter]

    makes my 40k [combined cpu/gpu] ppd look a little anaemic :(

    and my jury -rigged cpu cooller has given up... so no [cpu] folding for me...

    ****...

    in other news... less than 24 hours to go...

    also... I really need to remember the start time is 2000 BST not 1800 like i keep thinking it is...

    every little helps...

    still trying to jury rig my cpu cooler again, folding on a passively cooled 920 is ill-advised

    yep, on windows to need to unearth the tray icon and choose 'Advanced Control' as it can't be done through the web control, or search for FAHControl in the start menu.

    Now, how you choose to do it from here on depends on whether yoy want to do it for one slot or all of them... first click 'configure' then...

    To set it per-slot [say you want it on CPU but not GPU], click 'Slots', pick the one you want to set the flag for, and click 'Edit', scroll to the bottom of the pop-up to where it says 'Extra slot options (experts only)' and click 'Add'.

    To set it for all slots, click the 'Expert' tab, and where it says 'Extra client options' click 'Add'.

    Then add the following:

    Name: client-type
    Value: advanced

    Seem to be getting 24k 2600k, 20k GTX460, 1k G530, 18k 2500k so around 63k PPD dependant on project, GPU will be night time folder only though!
