    Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I last worked on my desk and that was all because I was on an internship in the United States, so i returned this month and after a couple of weeks started working again on my desk! Here is the result.

First I bought some new blocks from Ek, the new Supremacy Clean CSQ, EK Crosshair V block CSQ, EK-RAM Monarch X4 - Nickel CSQ and the two last (ever to be manufactured) EK-FC580 GTX+ - EN (Nickel).

Finally had enough fittings to write something

Also had some Mayhem Dye I wanted to try out, first I tried out blue
    [IMG]

    second, UV Blue
    [IMG]

    Thirth, Blue + red
    [IMG]

Had to test these out in my gorgeous reservoir tubes.

    UV blue
    [IMG]

Blue and Red tubes, so hard to choose

Time to take a look at the frosted EK blocks, they aren't bad but I really like them clear. So lets make that happen.

First we take off the logo with a sharp knife.

Then we wet sand the block with P2500 in one direction for a couple of minutes.

Time to put everything together on the table.

Fitting everything together with hard acrylic lines is a challange but was fairly easy, I thought this was going to be very difficult.

    Bam! There we go.

One more hole for the temperature probes in the reservoirs, more on that in a future update.

    Filling it all up!

    Ready for the leak test!

    More coming very soon!

    Thanks!
Are you talking about the plexi tubing? They are 12mm OD and 8ID.

Holy smokes, noticed that a bit to late that it was a 4752 x 3168 image.

Sorry for that, All fixed :thumb:

The top of the desk isn't plexi, that would scratch way to quickly. Its 8mm glass.

Still need to install the temperature screens in a custom made mount together with the SSD, but that will be for the comming weeks.

Thanks guys! The EK logos sticked back on with ease, they have some heavy dubble sides tape attached on them so it was easy to reattach.

    Holy Cow! That's looking clean!:thumb:
In that last pic: Is the line going into the GPU block really tweaked like that, or is it an optical trick? If it is, are these fittings really that forgiving? -'cause that's awesome.

Thanks! Nope it's not an illusion, I bended that tube about 3 times on 3 different possitions to get it to fit there.
The fittings aren't that forgiving but as long as you insert your tubing deep enough to hit one of the two o-rings inside the fitting you have a perfect seal!

I'm really happy how my tubing turned out!

So this week I ordered a monitor from South Korea, a X-star DP2710.
I've let people tell me its a 1440p Samsung panel (obviously rejected or something) but I really like it so far.

I've payed 230€ for it but I had to pay an other 59€ by customs, I didn't expect customs to stop it but ah well.
The package came very nicely wrapped.

Manual is in Korean only
Luckely its fairly simple to put together.

And here it is proudly on my desk, I've tested it a little with Skyrim and its absolutely a stunning display!

So I take it you are going to overclock it then? :)

You can get them up to 120 Hz (the X-star and Qnix ones).

    Thanks!

Nah I don't think I'll be overclocking the monitor, I've heard some nice things about it but I'm not really into the uber refresh rate thing :)
