It works like ammo as well, so it depletes & overheats with use, you need to pickup new energy clips to continue firing.

 

Exactly, it works just as conventional ammo clips, just called something else....

 

I'm more than slightly disappointed that the pirates are able to play this game before the rest of us who have purchased it. It makes it far worse knowing I can't play while someone has almost finished the game!

Well from what I saw most of the comments were, I'm downloading now but I already have the game pre-ordered too. But it is rather dissappointing. Granted most of the people trying to download the game still won't complete downloading before midnight tonight considering there are 1329 seeders and 26000 leechers.

Private torrent sites make up for the awful S/L ratio, and a 20mbps connection assures 14GB within the day. It's just disgraceful - I paid for this game and now I'm waiting longer than those who get it for free? Pft.

 

Oh, I have to agree I'm disappointed by the fact that I could have been playing it all weekend if I wasn't as picky as some; but on the plus side...... well I'm sure someone can come up with something.

Doesn't that mean you won't actually get it until Friday at the earliest? (3-5 day shipping) Or do they overnight it to you?

 

Awww that's garbage. I loved the infinite ammo in ME1. Really suited the gameplay.

 

I was a little underwhelmed by the first mass effect - but overall i thought it was ok and finished it eventually , ME2 is one i'll probably wait a few months before i pick up , too many other games on the go at the moment and with stakler call of pripyat / bioshock2 and battlefiled bc2 on the horizon i think it would just get shelved...

After playing it, i will buy it.

I hope more content is available, as i see this becoming a more of a carrot/stick method of ensuring people buy content like this.

 

Well my copy got posted today from Game so I'm crossing my fingers that it will arrive tomorrow!

 

Metacritics Roundup so far; none too shoddy.

I don't get it, can't you guys just get it off Steam? Or is it cheaper other places? (Never used Steam myself and thinking of starting.)

 

Question for the folk in America:

How many days before the launch were you able to preload the game?

It's being released at around midnight on Friday and it still isn't available to preload

 

Pre-ordered it, but no sign of any dispatch yet. Doubt I'll get it till early February TBH.

Anybody know if you can use a save game from a pirated version of ME 1 to start off ME2?

I bought the original game when it came out, but my copy is the other side of london atm and I won't be able to get it back until early / mid Feb. I lost my original saves too!
