Personally I've always heard that the MiGs are the better jets but as previously mentioned it all really depends how good you are at using them.

Also, it reminds me of something which i've never been able to find. I once saw, either on TV or the internet, a top fuel dragster with a flammable liquid poured over its tyres, lit and then it nailed the throttle giving F1 styles rooster tails in fire! I simply cannot find it (and believe me i've looked) if anyone has any clue as to where to see it please let me know, it was awesome!

Simple validation that i did actually see it from someone would help me feel that i'm not going insane too

For me its like the difference between a Ferrari 458 Italia(F- planes) and an Ariel Atom(SU- planes). The 458 is better in every single way than the Atom but when you get them on a track, the 458 gets wasted.

Thats not to say that the F22 isn't an awesome aircraft, it is. However in a 'real' dogfight it would come in 3rd after the crazu rushkis and the Raffale.

Speaking of which and getting back on topic for the thread...

With 8 AAMs and low-observability, the F-22 can target from over the horizon and the Su-30s, with their big, metal frames and gaping Saturns would never know what hit them, and that's before you get to the probability that the US pilots enjoy luxuries their Russian counterparts don't, like pay, and training.

No doubt about it - the Su-30 would pummel the F-22 in a dance contest, but in a war they'd be FOD in seconds. And now - marching ducks!
