Why are they wasting R&D on 20,000RPM drives when SSD are clearly the future

Gizzus a chance! In typical fashion the UK gets left behind the US where Anand and Toms always get hardware offers from WD before a product release. We got offered one when they annouced it - today. As much as WD like us, the US HQ seems to ignore past its boarders, despite my previous complaints on the contrary. Oh well.

    Greetings!

Waiting for the 300GB and 150GB versions.
The 600GB and 450GB are too expensive.

I have the 300GB Velociraptor drive, currently my Steam drive. Quiet and fast, person next to me at i39 was annoyed because he had put BC2 on an SSD using NTFS Junction and I was still outloading him into maps :D

He must have a crap SSD then because the raptor gets pretty much owned by SSDs.

Or he screwed up the junction (which is the more likely option)
