A friend of mine used to work for Psion. He still has a prototype 5mx on his desk, painted fluorescent green.

Amazingly, they still haven't said no after the first-stage interview: I've been invited for a second-stage next week.

Better iron a shirt this time. The one I wore for the first stage was creased af - I have a very good quality camera* for video calls, so creases were totally visible...

*Sony ZV-1 running at 1080p60 into a CamLink 4K with LED video lighting panels mounted to the desk. Not the greatest camera setup in the world for videography, but a million miles better than the crappy webcams or laptop cameras (yes, better than Macbook cameras as well) everyone has been using since the pandemic.

I've always wanted one of these machines, still do. Have literally zero use for it, but I still want it.

I’ve got some old cameras if you want ‘em. Just sort the postage, message me for details.

I've been watching Battlebots on Netflix. Big, dumb, OTT, unapologetic, and so extra. But so much fun.

Got the keys to this place, 24/7 access to my own gym where no one else is going to bother me - which kinda helps because when I can’t sleep in the early hours of the morning I like to hit the gym.

Say no more. Not had a proper roast dinner for far too long as it is not a meal that my wife likes at all (funny foreigners coming over here with the strange culinary customs.. (she's Dutch...)). I think I might have to go out for a roast dinner at some point, I'm sure that she can find sommat else on the menu to keep her happy... ;-)

As for other awesomeness - nearly £1200 in credit on our electricity and gas bill (Scottish Power), nice.

At current monthly payments, that gives us a little over 2 years if we didn't pay anything more as we only pay about £45 a month for both at the moment which I am more than happy to carry on with. I think I may see if we can get a repayment rather than a monthly reduction. Shall have a word with the Mrs, she's the one what does that side of things.

With interest rates running up to 5% I wouldn't let Scottish power have your money, take it out and put it in a savings account and go back to the monthly direct debit amount recommended.
