    Taking a Cisco exam tonight.

I feel prepared but I've already tried it once when I wasn't prepared, and it wasn't pretty.

This is in the awesome thread, because if I pass, and I do believe I can do it, then I begin steps on the ladder towards a £10k/yr pay bump.

I am having a great start so far this semester. I am actually proud of the way I behave and it seems like I am finally taking the bull by the horns, y'know.

In many ways, I had been digging a hole for myself for the past few years and it was getting increasingly difficult to get out of it. Right now I feel like I am growing big enough to get out of that hole by myself. Confidence is something extremely hard to build and unfortunately quite easy to break, which is why I need to keep working hard on myself and everything I do

Has anyone ever seen a psychologist about anxiety issues ?

The great Dega used to be quite anxious, but he's almost a regular pimp now :eeek:

It only took him a couple of months to turn things around, I bet he can give you some very good advice, to make a change in like half the time :thumb:

Being back at uni - summer hols were cool, but too long. Also, the web design module I started on Monday is pretty damned cool so far. Looking forward to the rest of the semester now.

Well Dega was a group effort... have you read the two 'dega dating threads over in serious?

I might aswell add what's making my life awesome atm.

We bought my boy a 40cm Drifting Lightning Mcqueen BMX and Lightning Mcqueen helmet last week, and went for a ride around the parks and lakes on the weekend, and he is damn fast :eeek: He did three skids and we both nearly ended up in the water a couple of times :D

I did read some of it but it seems like my problems are deeper or whatever.

    I didn't know you had a kid. That's great.
It might also explain why you're so moody sometimes. :hehe: Kids suck out a lot of energy from parents :p

Had a great time in class this morning. Part of "Human Relations in the Workplace" is having interactive and social lessons and learning to communicate with others, so today we got into groups with random people and put on skits representing parts of the day's lecture. At first everyone with me assumed I was just the quiet shy guy who wanted the least lines (I never talk and extremely pale skin means I appear to be blushing with very little provocation) but shocked everyone by completely stealing the show with some great improv that had everyone laughing and was a lot of fun for all. What I thought was going to be the most painful three credits of my life is turning out to be not so bad.

Made a pretty good impression on one of my more attractive group mates, too. Can't forget that part! :D

Last night (after failing that exam earlier on btw :() I was asked to work for a few hours. Bearing in mind I had been up since 5am due to work, I was knackered but did it anyway. Home broadband down. 3G signal rubbish - stuck on 2G, so dongle was useless. Office is only 2 miles from home so just went back to work. At 9pm at night. I was feeling pretty lousy about it, but I just got a "recognition" email from the MD.

For those of you who don't work in a company that does this, the email goes to the whole company, thanking individuals for a specific contribution, and describing it.

    Made me feel good anyway.
