well i think that i saw a mini disk being used as data storage in the matrix... im going to be laughed at perhaps but im shure i saw that just before he followed the white rabit he hid his mini disks in a book as for data storage i think that would be a big mod nice idea

    Back to the mod suggestions...

I think alot of us want to see a mod which allows us to add a status led to individual hardrives..aside from using the led pins which only feature on SOME hardrives. that way us people who are planning or already have windowed HDDs can put an led in which flashes when THAT drive is being accessed.

Nah, lazy , he's on to a good idea.

I've been thinking about that one actually, you'd want to make a board with a connector on it that went inline with the IDE cable so there was no irreversible mod to any drive or mobo circuits.

If I was experienced at PCB fabrication it'd probably be a snap.

Well how about you design a circuit and those of use who have access to university PCB design software *cough*MicroSim*cough* can have a bash at it.

I'd like to see a case made out of copper or bronze. Heavy though.

Alternatively a copper, silver, or gold plated Lan Li.

    next mod

i would like to see a good way to mod your keyboard. ive seen glow wire under the keys but never done well, is there a way to light behind the keys so it looks even? you can change the LED's and can you dye the keys so that it won't rub off or cover the lettering? maybe translucent keys. show us how to use the program buttons on our keyboards to do other things like...... well i dunno......but...... how do you build a dimmer for your cathode? :D

How about a remote control for powering up your system. A very simple one button keyfob with a remote link to an unswitched relay to emulate the power button being pressed? Your then adding a security feature (can't power up without the remote) and adding a unique easish (I hope) feature :)
