The Boxter can be serviced using a built in hatch, the only time you need to take stuff out is if it goes wrong, which been German is hardly ever. Its also one of the better handling cars in its class.

Jap cars - Nice to drive nice engines *caugh*hardly any torque*caugh* and some of the rankiest interiors I've ever seen.

3.2V6 TT DSG makes sense :)

Audi RS2. Mostly Porsche anyway, will carry a big telly, doesn't look too flash and will see the dirty side of 160mph.

Oh and you can pick one up for 15k and above.

I quite like the S3, there was a small facelift to the range sometime in 2000 I think so look for one of them! They're not really that fast but well spec'd and built. Very easy to make quite a bit faster with a user adjustable plug in box too!

I would say that you're in a very small minority of people than can look at cars of such caliber while at uni!

M3 + Uni Student + Rich Mommy and Daddy....

They are compared to similar sized hot hatches as they weigh so much.

I think you can get a decent one for 10-11K.

Weight is down to the fact they are much more than a hot hatch, call it a posh hot hatch.
Its a very nice car, but with the money i simply wouldn't take that route.

My friend goes to Brooklands College (meaning this guy is 17 and just passed) with someone with an M3- brand spanking new as well.

The person in question is actually 'Draco Malfoy' from the Harry Potter movies. No need to guess where his money came from!

I guess so but if he wants a car with a quality feel (as indicated by the inital suggestions) he's not really going to find it in a Jap car.

Don't get me wrong you can't beat a bit of pacific muscle but they just can't compete on the quality of interiors.

    Why not

Nissan 200SX. Really good second hand price, quick, leather seats, 10 disc auto changer, heated wing mirrors, and rear wheel drive (so much fun).
