I find it hard to believe even Johnson believed a word he said in his 'farewell'.

Edit: Rolling coverage of the pantomime that has been going on for months. It feels like time has been going slow motion like in a film watching a character fall off a cliff to their demise.

Referencing Cincinnatus in his 'speech' says everything we need to know.

I wouldn’t under normal circumstances, advocate murder but, it would stop BoZo doing any more damage to this country.

That should be a surprise to nobody. Truss was a useless, incompetent foreign secretary, she was never going to be a competent PM.

Truss has been invited by Volodymyr Zelensky to visit Ukraine. Will she know which country is which, unlike like last time she was in the area?

JRM climate change is nothing to worry about is now in charge of Energy. Dear Christ.

The whole cabinet seems to be dragged out of the farthest reaches of the right of the party.

Not looking forward to this. Time to make plans to leave England at least.

Pie managed to sum it up pretty well. It says something when comedy is scary.

Tory WAGs crying about cronyism and dishonesty, the instant they are no longer among the anointed few. Oh, the humanity!

Truss at PMQs. Yeah, as expected, a bad speaker backing bad ideas.

What I find most depressing about this thread is not the content, not the state of the country or who is running it, but because of the fact that everyone is citing "wot this person tweeted" as a news source.

It's a platform designed to create engagement with throwaway tweets. You know what creates engagement? Outrage. It is a platform designed to make you angry, and keep you angry, at anything it can.

The sooner that vitriolic cesspit is purged from the world the better.
By all means be angry, just stop being angry at tweets - if it's a source that's being tweeted, let's just try to focus on the actual source, as opposed to the snarky comment Johnny McTweetalot tacked onto it for internet points.

    That is all.

She at least didn’t ummm, bluster and smirk like BoZo. Nothing else positive to say about the ridiculously useless simpleton.

I just can't believe she's carting out the old trickle down economics ideology that has been proven to be ineffective decades ago.

All the while no 'handouts' except those given to big business.

    It's a joke.

Edit: I will give Truss this, she probably revealed more about her ideology in that one PMQs than Johnson did during his entire tenure.
