    Sweet multiple desktops. Good to see them catching up with linux after how many decades?

    I also just realised I get student discounts on things, so hopefully a cheaper upgrades

    Is there still a scheme for discounted copies of windows for students? I thought that had stopped.

    I was hoping she would gain access to something like msdn once she started college.

    She can get office and some other progs but not windows it seems.

    Dont know is the honest answer. I'll look into it when the time comes. Also I don't live in the UK so it'll probably differ for both of us.

    My interpretation is that the tablet 'fad' is fizzling out. Anybody who didn't have one at the start probably has one by now. They have realised they didn't need one or there are still some things that need to be done on a PC. Thus creating a new wave of customers looking to replace their old neglected PCs.

    A recent press release from Gartner is predicting Tablets Will Represent Less Than 10 Percent of All Devices in 2014.
