I got myself a Radeon HD5450 for a spare setup, it was cheap and the low profile-ness might come in handy in a ITX case build I'm doing (very slowly). Anyway, I decided to have a good overclock of this little card and to my surprise found it goes a long long way from its spec. From the default of 650/500 I've gone all the way up to 870/630, of course it still doesn't make it anymore than a basic card but it does make a significant frame rate difference at the low resolutions where a card like this might be useful. So is this normal for the HD5450 chip? Does anyone else have the same sort of results?
It seems the lower end cards are all good over clockers , I managed to get a 30% increase out of a HD5570, does wonders for the frame rates...lol
