Remove everything from the mobo, try to boot with just the cpu and 1 memory stick installed.

Is the bios fully updated to support the fx/ apu range of chips?

I'd say this is highly likely a BIOS update problem :(

Doesn't sound good if you are getting absolutely nothing when powering on.

Disassemble and maybe try another PSU.

If still no action sounds like the boards smoked.

You can also try another board if you have spare?

Oh - not BIOS then :(

Sounds a bit more serious. If it's in the case, take it out and build it on the side, just to check for shorts (electrical, not the clothing variety - it's too cold for those at the moment)

Trying another PSU would be an easy check if you've got one spare.

Not wanting to be rude, but have you made sure you've plugged everything in correctly (including the front panel connectors) since I know in the past I've had a moment of panic when nothing seemed to work before finding out I'd connect the power switch to the wrong headers.
