Here is my first PC that I have customized! What you think? Inside: *Chieftec BX case *Abit NF7 *AthlonXP 2800+ *Radeon 5600 Pro *400MHZ 512mb DDR *Maxtor Pus 9 80Gig 8MB *DVD & CD-Rewriter ----------------------- The case! Lights - three Blue fan lights and a green cpu fan. In the Dark
very nice i noticed some thing the other day i was at a store getting some replacement fans for my freind and i noticed that the blue led fans were cheaper than the reg ones with out the light so we bought some and let me tell you what the case has never been modded before and when we put those fans in it looked so nice i think the value of the case went up a little his computer looks nice now i want to put some lighted fans on my computer but its to small for 1 and i would havt to cut it all up it looks nice the way it is though but those fans are cool
looks good. i like the green cpu fan especially. nice contrast with the rest being blue. *edit* the PSU looks kinda ugly sitting up there by itself. if you come up with a name for the pc, you could frost the top of the window (above that bar) with the name. but inverted like. the whole top of the window would be frosted, but with clear letters. just a thought.
wheee ... now that we're poiting out eachothers errors ===> GeForce FX 5600 ^^ back ontopic: nicely done that case =)
Yes back to topic! Thanks "Ohcyt" Il have a look into that frosting thing, if you know how to frost it, whether it comes in a spray or any thing, let me know greatly appreciated!
Very nice customization, reminds me of when I purchased my LED blue fan for fun - just one now I have a stock pile of about 24 of them. Can't live with just one, it's an addiction.
Are the lighted fans the only thing you've done, or am I missing something. I'm digging that green, though, even if you haven't actually modded anything, the fans are a good start.
Little Update! Little Update! I have brought two duel blue neon lights and a ram heat spreader. Tried to tidy some of the cables Iv taken the blue lights of the window fan to allow the green fan on the cpu to be more visible (pics to come) Will frost a name on top of the window soon! Also thinking of inserting a blow hole..
it seems that this case starting to get really popular, have seen it many, many times on these boards, anyways, good job
Yer it is a good case, very well built too. Ill recommend it to any body looking for a case to mod with lots of space
Mini mod Hi, just an update bout the PC, iv inserted the switch for the two neon lights in one of the floppy bays. ---- I am also thinking of adding six (on-off-on) Sub-Miniature Toggle Switches, three on each side of the front pannel. To control the lighted fans inside! Still trying to think of a name for the Pc, to frost on the side pannel. Any idea's for name's welcome!
The switch in the floppy drives look really nice. Seems to be a little bit to the left of center, but that might be the angle of the shot talking. How did you make the hole in the bay cover? I put my switch in a 5" bay cover by taking a pocket knife and swiveling it until I had a hole big enough.
No it is of center, i drilled a couple of hols in the center and filled the rest untill i had the right shape, but i filled to far on one side!
I love what there doing with widnow intakes these days that kinda grill effect molded into the acrylic of the window looks quite nice Nice modding by the way morgan
Window Frosting Hello, I have frosted a name for the PC onto the window of the case: "savage", why savage I saw a game advertised called this and fort it sounded cool. Thanks to this Guide by Kna. Pics:>>> The window before started. Here is wot i needed: Plasti-Kote glass frosting spray, knif, printed images, masking tape (lots) and cutting board (I used a backing tray) Then following the guide. I continued to cut out the letters to leave me with a stencil. Then stuck the masking-tape stencil in the place I wanted and added newspaper to stop spay going elsewhere. Following instructions on can, I gave it a nice thick even coat. Here is a Pic of the finished product> and also in the dark> Wot do you think?
