"Experimental-Lambda-Core" HL² Mod

Butterkneter's "BLACK MESA EXPERIMENTAL LAMBDA CORE"

Already testet on a LANSession with 1224 Gamers. It worked !!!

(sorry for my terrible english)

After many hours of work now its almost done ( 99%). Inspired by the phantastic work of Piloux, I also decided to build a HL² Mod.
System: Gehäuse - Chieftec CS 901 Server TowerMainboard
Gigabyte GA - 7VRXP
1 GB DD Ram PC 2100
Netzteil 530 Watt
Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9700 Pro
Soundblaster Audigy Gamer
1 Nec DVD-Burner, 1 x DVD
4 Harddisks = 280 GB 7200 rpm

L O G :
At the Beginnig I used Sketchup to help me imagine how it would look like. . .

The Layout of the frontdoor . . . .

First a little Shoppingtour
Here what i found in a little turkish store . . .

Some Base Painting of the Interior . . .

First Tests with the Rustpainting

here on with Polystyrol. My favourit material

here on some other built- in- elements

The Frontdoor . . .

DVD-RW and DVD

the 120 mm Fan

the exterior Fan (80mm) with LED Lights.

The Reactor-Core . . .

The Rustpainting for the TFT an the keyboard

the side-doors of the CS 901 without . . .

the side-doors of the CS 901 with Rust . . .

First Test of the layout for the Frontpanel

The Result

With Killswitch , Keyswitch, Cigaretlighter
 + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +

All together it looks like this . . .

to be continued . . .

Um..... TheSchumi posted images of his bulletholes on Aug. 13. How did he "copy" yours that were posted today (Aug. 18)?

I don't think HL2 mods are overdone, I think the rusting paint effect is overdone. But good mod, eitherway.

Its not a question of Quantity

But it is a question of Quality....

I don’t care how many H2 or rust mods are done, as long as they are kicka** mods. This is defiantly one. Great job.

<suggestion> You may want to go into more detail on how you made some of your components, like your 'lambda core' or the detail on the door. How did you make those?

Note to everyone: Get used to seeing these types of mods. A destroyed, aged or rusted mod is a lot more user friendly then trying to build a mod that looks stock, as well as a lot cheaper to do unless you work at a cnc shop. Lets not rag and say "its been done" at least its getting done.... <IMHO>

realy nice job The front realy rules. IMHO, the rust-projects are not overdone. its just a new way of modding, i like them more instead of all those standard modded lian li's and chieftecs without own ideas.

Looks good, just a little too much of the theme now...

I really like the side panels though and are interested in how the lettering is "painted" on...

no way... piloux is the one and only when it comes to hl2 mods. and I mean both of them.. this is really great but, nomatter how hard you try you can't beat piloux and the fact that piloux lives in belgium which is a crap country when it comes to finding good parts, makes his mods even better.

can anyone tell me what black messa is?

You should play Halflife . . .

Black Mesa is the corporation , Gordon Freeman , the main character of the game, worked for.

Nobody wants to "BEAT" Piloux. This is not a match. Modding is simply fun !!!
