Was surprised to find there wasn't a thread for this already. Today's race at Catalunya has been AMAZING so far :jawdrop:

    Anyone else watching it?

EDIT: Stunning race, who needs F1 :p

Yea just caught the race! it was brilliant with all the over taking then re overtaking!!

although the F1 did have alot more crashes, this was a brilliant race and both riders were really up for it towards the end!

Indeed they were, if the rest of the season can be like that it'll be an amazing year. Was a good day for motorsport yesterday.

It's the UK GP from Donington tomorrow, live coverage on BBC2 and BBCi from 12:15. Colin Edwards, Rossi and Pedrosa are on the front row so should be a good race again. Check it out if you get the chance.

Watching it on Eurosport right now (250cc) :thumb:

As per usual... the weather is chucking it down... which always makes for 'interesting' racing :D
It makes for better racing as well I reckon, 'coz it gives everybody - even those usually nearer the back, a bit of a chance at glory

[edit] What a great race! And as predicted... the weather played a major part! [/edit]

Laguna Seca this weekend, qualifying tonight 2145-2300 on BBCi and the race tomorrow 2205-2305 on BBC2.

Good track for Stoner who has been fastest in practices, can he extend his lead or can Rossi fight back after his mistake last weekend?

    1. Stoner 2. Pedrosa 3. Vermeulen
    4. Hayden 5. Rossi 6. Capirossi

Good fun qualifying session except for the early accident. Track looks well suited for bikes, the corkscrew is terrifying!

First win from pole all season, Stoner was fastest in both Friday practices, pole position, race win, fastest lap and a new lap record...talk about a perfect race weekend.

Are the MotoGP fans also F1 fans? I've always liked F1 but never seen the attraction of MotoGP myself.

If you want to watch some real racing action then forget about the politics show which is F1 (for the last 5 years or so anyway) and start watching MotoGP dude!

Seriously though, if MotoGP didn't interest you in the past you should give it another try, this season especially as it's one of the best IMO, there's been some awesome race weekends so far, with more to come I reckon :D

GP from Estoril about to start on BBC2, Hayden Stoner and Rossi all on the front row, should be interesting.

Had great interview with Valentino about Colin McRae, seemed like they knew each other quite well :(

Fantastic race, back to the drama of the early season. Rossi dedicated his win to Colin as well, such a nice guy

Depends on the track and how Michelin are feeling at the moment tbh. They pulled out all the stops to produce a decent tyre last weekend and that helped to level the field a bit. Also the Hondas have improved drastically, Pedrosa managed to pull level with Stoner on the Ducati on the straight before passing him in to the first corner at Estoril, earlier in the season this would never happen. Although the Yamaha is probably the slowest of the three Rossi is still Il Dottore, he managed to stick with the Pedrosa fairly comfortably after passing Stoner and pulled away from the Ducati over the last few laps.

However it's more than likely just delaying the inevitable Stoner championship win.

    Ain't that the truth

There was nothing could touch the Ducati for top-end speed at the beginning of, to past mid-season, and the Honda's in particular were surprisingly 'slow' (relatively speaking)!

It was quite amazing therefore, to watch last Sunday's race, and see the Honda's trounce just about everything else on track for top-end speed on the straights :eeek:
Even bikes in their slipstream could barely keep up with 'em... let alone get past 'em :jawdrop:

Very impressive improvement Honda - thanks in no small part I'm sure, to feedback from Nicky and Danny
It's just a pity [for Nicky and Danny, and us viewers as well], that it's taken 'til very near the end of the season :sigh:

Roll on the last few races... and I for one am already looking forward to the 2008 season... when of course 'JT' (James Toseland) will also be joining the fray with Tech³ Yamaha
