I'm currently re-reading The Redemption of Althalus by David & Lee Eddings for the umpteenth time. My all-time favorite book. After I'll start working through the Artifacts of Power series of books by Maggie Furey for the umpteenth time too. My all-time favorite series.
Read? What is this read? Currently reading Ravenor by Dan Abnett, a 40k book, quite entertaining. Have many more books on my to read pile, I just never manage to read them, I'm quite a slow reader so I don't do it very often. Although the next book I have my eye on is Space Captain Smith
Started reading the Wheel of Time books again last month (14th time through it). About halfway through book 11 now.
The written word is just about mankinds greatest invention my friend. Besides, I'm sure most of us will find the time to "get down and dirty" with our computers as well...
I will be reading French Provincial cooking and a selection of interior/architecture design books, furniture design and chair design books.
For general reading, The Man Who Loved Only Numbers by Paul Hoffman. Have read that about 5 times now, and I don't re-read things.
Not sure what you mean by a "spy" book, if you mean general covert operations, I like Tom Clancy - Without Remorse. Or you could get Devil May Care
I bought the trilogy as a "Three Great Books in One" set (it's a mahoosive paperback, basically), and got about half-way through the second before putting it aside. I should really finish it, one of these days.
Currently reading Terry Goodkinds 11th book in his series the book is called Confessor and the series it relates to is The Sword of Truth to be honest being 38 yrs old this is the most riveting series i have ever layed my eyes on the entire series is quite exceptional http://www.terrygoodkind.com/his_works/ The Redemption of Althalus was a good read but for epic storytelling that rivals even the lord of the rings series ya should give Goodkind a look
Likewise Gman, infact i have only a few pages remaining, but I've only been thorugh it about 5 or 6 times. Can't wait for a Memory of Light though (working title for the final book. RIP Robert Jordan). After I've got the WoT finished again I'll be onto some classic Devid Gemmel, think I'll reread the Jon Shannow Trilogy....hmmmm
My other book arrived today, This Is Your Brain On Music - Daniel Levitin About how different music makes the brain react.
I intend to re-read some of my Terry Pratchett Discworld books... Or possibly the new Star Wars series. I've made a start on the first one already, but can not seem to get into it as much as the Yuuzahn Vong (New Jedi Order) series. The proof of which is that I started it a few months back and still not finished it - usually a book only takes me around 2-3 days to read through (unless it's a (Omnibus Edition) Lord of the Rings sized book - which took me about 2 weeks, hmm... perhaps I'll re-read that).
Introduction To Solid State Physics - No bedtime read, but working for the Materials Department this summer, so no choice :/ Mankiw's Principles of Economics - Just an educated read. Mathematics of Poker - Finished all three of Harrington's, so need something a little more advanced. Why Chemical Reactions Happen (Wothers/Keeler) - Need to catch up on this year's chemistry. Atkins' Physical Chemistry - some key concepts. Thank God for libraries in Cambridge.
