    Because most shoppers who are clueless about a product see things as "the more expensive it is the better it is" and while in some cases that is true, a lot of times a more moderately priced product will do the exact same thing as an expensive product.

    But anyway, that woman should have taken her brother along with her when she was buying the thing...would have saved her a lot of money.
