This is just one of my walls, one of the few where you can actually see the wallpaper - it's the coldest room in the house so I try not to use it during winter. Almost every wall in my house looks like that (usually worse), and every one is themed. This is dedicated to hardware that made me mad by failing at the worst possible moment. I also have walls dedicated to some really vintage stuff, bike parts that almost got me killed or simply failed, old mobile phones etc.

There are also two working machines on the pinboard (one of my routers and one of the number crunchers with Opteron 1222SE in a cheap, Gigabyte mobo)

Basically the whole house looks much worse, like a computer warehouse with a bike workshop. The only uncluttered room is my music hideout, i don't even let anybody inside the house apart from my girlfriend since one guy damaged my beloved SGI O2.

Enough said, I had to start hanging computers on pinboards 'cause there just wasn't any space left.

That looks like a seagate from the olden days.. probably around 40 megs or so?

I sure hope you don't have an earthquake anytime soon ;)

It's a Seagate ST-225, around 21 megs formatted capacity. It was enough to hold all my work, not to mention quite expensive. It had an awesome 400kB/s transfer rate with massive 3.600 rpm platters. Around 150-170ms seek time. Sounded like a tractor.

It failed when I was doing one of my first well-paid projects, caused me to pay a fine for missing a deadline. No one thought about backups then, those disks were far too expensive to own more than one at a time. And by the way, who would need 40 megs of storage? Impossible to fill. :)

Thankfully, we don't have earthquakes here. I don't want to imagine what kind of a mess it would do.

Maybe I'll post some other walls later, for now I find it too intimate. :hehe:

Not really. I tend to put my feet on it or sit cross legged on the chair.

Surely no more than turning all those pages of FHM daily must kill your hands?

Really? I'm pretty sure they were just taking the piss out of you? ;)

Although to be fair, when I picked up that definition I had to correct the spelling errors in it, which is not a good sign.
