They do frown on gun racks nowadays. I guess they finally realized the combo of visible, valuable weapon/easy open window doesn't mix.

We're patient Cheaps, but it's been like a month or so now, any progress you can share?

I may be partially responsible for distracting him.
That's not what I intended to do :(

    It's a good kind of distraction.:D
    You want an update?

-Got rent house back trashed. It's now rented again.:D
-Got ticket for crap. Today officer called to say ticket dismissed.:D
-Got new house with tons of problems. Still working on that.
-96 degrees outside. AC broke on ride.:( It's in the shop.
-Watering 2 yards in the hope they won't burst into flames.
-killed a colony of agressive bees.
-Primary drive on bloo died. Got that fixed.
-Storage drive on Toad died. Lost lots of stuffs.
-Got new cnc machine working today. Mill+21"crt+Hypnotoad+another computer heated the room up quickly so I shut everything down.
-making space for operating machine now.
-Wasted time on a (free) set of possible cnc control stations. Mobos were bad.

...Pretty much a cycle of good luck/bad luck all month that has kept me very busy.

Excuses, EXCUSES! What did you do the rest of the time?! I mean, surely such a nutter will get all that done in a single day, and still have time left for some cardboard cutting?

I'm a bit disappointed at you, and I think a small part of me just died :(

EDIT: And oh btw, tell me you're gonna use that CNC-mill of yours to cut cardboard for this build! It would be just about crazy enough, make lots and lots of people go apeass, make baby seals cry and eventually implode the internets because of all the hatemail from modders without machinery.

The dust that would create would make the baby seals cry.
Baby seals are too big for cutting on the machine. Maybe kittens?

What part of me rebuilding 2 houses in the last 2 months didn't you get?:hehe:
It would of taken a lot less time if I had spent 1 month at one house, then moved to the next. Instead I spent hours each day loading what gear I needed and bouncing between the two.:(

I thought i was gonna see more cardboard :waah: Now I'm also looking forward to seeing a vid of a piece of cardboard become dust at the hands of a cnc

And you should keep the cancelled ticket and use it in this mod :D

Take your time on the houses Cheapskate :thumb:

Real life and the whole staying not broke life has gotten in the way of many modders.

    Hint: Inhale, Exhale, Repeat.
Enhance your calm and come back to us when you can. I can't even get outdoors without 9 days of rain, hail, tornadoes, and misc. bad weather. Rebuilt my fence 3 times waiting for insurance adjuster.

    We are here. We wait.

On the plus side, (for you guys,) It's too hot to go out and cut plastic. I'm more likely to work on this project because of that. The downside is I may never get my new project started.

New update::hehe: New mattress+antique bed= 38 inch high bed!!!!! I feel like I'm 5 years old again.:hehe: I can't pull the box frame out until I build a box support for the bedframe.

You just do a flying belly flop up onto the bed. Nothing wrong with that, as long as the missus is out of the way, unless she's naked, then it don't matter! :thumb:

    No missus.:(
The flying belly flop is a no-go too. I'm short and the bed is above belly height. I'd have to be an Olympic high jumper to pull off a belly flop.
    -It'd be more like a 'belly-skid.'

Ahh, well might I suggest one of those "exercise" trampolines? You should be able to find one in any local housing complex sitting on the curb. Look for houses with pink flamingo's in the yard.

Short? How short do you have to be to not be able to belly flop on a bed? Or how high does the bed have to be? :eeek:

My imported from UK antique sleigh bed with a King double top mattress set is 32" from floor to sleeping surface. No prob.
Marilyn's king is a double top also and her's is 37" from floor to sleeping level. She is 5 foot tall and requires a step to even get in it.

Back in the 60s you could toss a mattress on the floor in the corner and dive all you wanted. It was required I think - can't remember some of the 60s.

In that case I'd suggest starting a collection for Cheaps to buy a nice little ladder so he can belly flop.

I'll fix it!:hehe: I just need to replace the box spring with a sturdy sheet of plywood!
    Don't send ladders! I have plenty.:hehe:
John has already asked for my address. I fear it's too late...
