CS:S Server issues

Server is currently having issues, they are being investigated and hopefully be sorted some time soon.

 

What, like ex-girlfriend type "issues"?

 

Pretty much

 

I keep getting some random error msgs when trying to join, seemed ok on other servers. If launching from server browser I get "mod not installed" and if in CSS I get a steam ticket error. I take it these are the problems spoken of?

 

I can't even get a clanforge login page up for some reason.

 

People could connect to it yesterday ok, I was on there for a bit last night, so this looks like a new/different one.

As you say, launching cs:s from the steam server browser gives a game info message saying "You do not have this 3rd party mod installed" and doesnt load or connect.

Connecting to the server from within cs:s gives a disconnect error saying "Steam validation rejected"

I got a update for cs:s last night/this morning so I imagine MPUK need to update the server again.

Having said that, I can get on other servers including MPUK ones.

 

Think we need to get the placards outside mpuk saying they're a bunch of plonkers. Alas, it numbs me knowing that eventually they shall sort it out but whenever that may be is another matter, i'm sure that fu and rogan shall not tire with their bitching at them so cheers guys and goodluck!

 

I haven't talked to them since the orangebox update debacle. Fu's been doing the talking since then.

 

Should be back on track now although steambans and zblock need "testing" so there may be some oddities, especially as there are bound to be many more CS:S patches to come.

 

It's the old good-cop-bad-cop routine, works a charm

 

z-block is working nice, but for people going from 9.+ to 8/.1 there may be some laggy bits that need sorting, i found this from someone who had problems

Start -> Run -> regedit -> OK

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Source

then put -dxlevel 81 into launch options, launch game, quit, delete -dxlevel from launch options

delete mat_dxlevel from your configs

supposedly helps, not sure why.

there's a new update to the server and client v1.0.0.43 ... updated people cant get on at the moment just to let you know

They cant get on because the server isnt updated and the good people of MPUK go home at 10pm so it will be a job for tommorrow hopefully.

What kind of server company doesn't have at least one person available at all times, this server just paints them in such a bad light.

 

remote update, its been out for years
