Not too sure what this would be used for? I guess HTPCs may have some scope... Wii does it well enough, but has the right games for their use.

PS3 & 360 controllers work with a PC, as do their guitar hero controllers & the PS3 Splitfish.
I wasn't really interested in getting a motion controller, but had assumed that the PS Move &/or Kinect would probably work with a PC should any games support it. But I think it's less likely to work the other way around.
In which case it's not going to do so well when there's a multiplatform alternative already established.

    +1

I've been wanting a gesture control system for a media centre for ages. You walk in with your date, wave a hand to turn the music on and then do a smooth downward gesture to lower the volume to 'hey, we don't need underwear" levels.

For gaming I don't want it, at least not until 3D is the norm. 3D controls with 3D visuals make sense to me.

Yeah I like the idea of a Wiimote style controller for my HTPC.

I'm still waiting for my "point blank" style PC light gun!
Actually having a games capable media centre PC I may be interested in this - depends if it comes with a cack virtual pet simulator!

its a good first step towards the future.

i cant wait until our computers are like Tony Stark's gesture-control in Iron Man 2.

Now, actually, I think whole body motion controlled is pretty stupid, if I wanted to do it with my body I'll do it in real life, I expect more from the PC :)

I thought all this motion control crap was mostly aimed for casual non-gamers. So... the exact opposite of the PC gaming crowd. How big can the market on PC gaming for a motion controller really be?

this is a good thing, due to the next gen of consoles taking ages, casual gamers next wii may be a pc, and that goes for all the other consoles too.

this isn't going to replace a mouse, and every that says they do not want this is a fool, because I/people would rather have something like this in a shop, then sit at there desk at 4 in the morning wishing for a way to control things in game with their hands.

and i thought that this is what the pc is about? PC is nothing to do with mouse and keyboard, pc is about the openness and freedom of what you want. If some people want to play with ps3 controllers, great, if people want 360 controllers, even better, and if people want to play something with motion control without holding a piece of crap with a glowing orb on it or a ir camera, Fantastic.
