Joe, you always review games with scores like this. I mean, does the scale go from 1 to 10, or 1 to 3? Seriously, I think that the journalistic integrity of this site is being called into question, and I'm starting to think people are receiving back-handers. How much did Activision pay you to publish this terrible review of a competitor's product? I can't believe the levels some people will stoop to.

    /sarcasm

On a serious note, good to know this is crap. I did ask whether it was worth it. Decided no. Quite glad now.

Refreshing to see a site not scared of giving less than a 5/10 for a genuinely terrible game!
Even at £3 it seems like an offensively bad ripoff.

I bought it for the unlocks, and to have a bit of fun. Loved some of the dialogue, but I'm pretty crap at poker. Got 2 of the 4 unlocks so far.

GOTY for sure. Obviously Joe is unable to see the artistic brilliance in the characters

Everyone bookmark this page for the next time someone complains that Bit-Tech doesn't use the full scoring range.

I actually sat at Joe's PC when he left this game open and tried to play it. I couldn't actually fathom the controls beyond being able to see what cards were in my hand. It wasn't very clear how I was supposed to be able to call, fold or check. BAD

    he leaves his PC unlocked?

I hope you changed his desktop background.

As with MaverickWill, I thought about getting this game, but decided not to based on the fact I could type into google 'free poker game' and get essentially the same thing. I think the stylistic approach is interesting but at the end of the day it's just poker :/ maybe exciting for many but not really for me! I've never seen the appeal.

There has been so much hype surrounding this game! Out of principle I wouldn't get it because it doesn't have a multiplayer mode, but then from what people say, it wouldn't be that great anyway.

I think this was an attempt at a fanboi game. No content just hyped characters.

    Basically TF2 without wheels

    Add multiplayer. Win!

Surely that is all this game needs. I can't imagine any single player poker game is fun, regardless fo setting, characters or TF2 Items.

several of my friends have this game. They've all enjoyed it (they do admit that the AI sucks) too.

The thing is, as soon as you make it multiplayer you lose the main selling point of the game: familiar characters. Unless you made the characters playable, but I don't think I'd really want to put myself in any of their shoes.

Saying that, if it was multiplayer I'm sure a few more TF2 players would go for it, particularly to wind down from all the hat purchases.
