Ok, possibly a pointless topic but sparked by a discussion earlier in the day at work.

I argued that tea should be taken with a dash of milk and 2 sugars, Dave argued for no sugars and plenty of milk. Now this is clearly wrong.

    So, back me up?

(This post may have been influenced by the joy experienced sitting down with a perfect cuppa after a long day at work!)

I make my tea in this order.

    1 :Boil ketto"
2 :Grab my pint glass from the kitchen cabinet"
    3: put tea bag in
    4: add hot water
    5: add loads of milk
    6: remove tea bag
    7: No sugers!

I love milk when making coffees i fill the cup up with milk microwave with coffee + 2 sugars then top it off with a little water...

Wel I'm afraid you're both wrong, 2 sugars with plenty of milk is the way it's meant to be. :D

The notion of drinking tea/coffee from a mug made of glass seems really strange to me for some reason. Guess I'm just a porcelain guy!

the whole glass shattering thing might be the one that does it... although for me glass = cold drink, mug = hot drink

    1. Tap button on kettle
    2. Swing fridge door open
    3. Grab milk
    4. Small amount of milk in cup
    5. Chuck in two teabags, yes, two.
    6. Tap fingers waiting for kettle to boil.
    7. Pour boiling water into cup.
    8. Plunge the two teabags up and down in the drink, much like teabagging funnily enough.
    9. Lift teabags with teaspoon, let them drip over the drink to get a little more strength.
    10. Plop in two heaped spoons of sugar and stir, starting at the bottom of the cup working slowly to the top of the drink WITHOUT letting the spoon touch the sides of the cup.
    11. Allow to settle for 30-40 seconds before drinking.

With instant coffee it is much the same, but it's 1 heaped spoon and half a spoonful and no teabagging :D

P.S I've always wanted a set of those cafe style teapots and milk thingys, you know, the metal ones? IF anyone knows where to pick 'em up link meh, or put them up in marketplace, they'll be gone in seconds ;)

Grab mug, insert teabag, apply almost boiling water from the greatest tap in the world (kettles are so 2009), add splash of milk, remove bag... ????... profit

no milk no sugar. Coffee and tea weren't made dark and bitter for us to make them whiter and sweeter.

Same for me. Not much milk, not much sugar but a lot of tea flavor.

    No milk, 2 sugars.
That goes for Tea and Coffee for me.
Milk is for mammals (a.k.a. "Suck Animals").
I don't do a lot of moo-juice in general, except in the shape of cheese. And Cheese in tea would be gross.

    1. teabag and 3 sugars in the cup
    2. pour in hot water
    3. stir and squeeze out teabag
    4. remove teabag and pour in milk (not too much. If you wanted a glass of milk you should have that instead dammit)
    5. Stir and enjoy

You have what I call "NATO-standard" squire. 2 Sugars and milk. That is how tea should be drank.

Coffee should be drank with three sugars and a as much caffine as we can force in there.
