There's this at ZDNet, with a truly groanworthy pun. And this at New Scientist. And one here, as well.
I told Facebook I was going to buy a PS3 today. Even my housemate, family, and closest buddies believed it.

Pretty sure there was one on Radio 4 this morning. They were going on about "3D Radio" and had an experiment for listeners to try out themselvs (they recommended using headphones for full effect). From what I can tell, all they did was fade between the left and right speaker and play normal sounding radio with a hiss in the background. They then said if you hold your hand up in front of your face and move your head left and right, you can "tune" out the hiss. This report went on for about 5 minutes, had a researcher from Leiscter (sp) University who spouted all kinds of acoustic science related words and said he'd been developing equations over 3 years. They also had John Humphreys say he'd recorded himself in 3D and say just how amazing the sound was. And at the end, they didn't even say if it was April Fools or not. Well played though, got to love R4.
