It's Sorta like a marriage between Facebook and Twitter. You can also chose who to share content with or not... which is nice, if you want to keep your family, friends or business connections separated Google Plus lacks.... No farm or Game invites (yet) No Pokes No Tagging No Ads (yet) No status updates No Clutter I still have Invites left, just PM your Email addy.... My G+ Page
I've got adds.. WoW Gold sellers have started adding me on it already.. I personally think it's lame but that's JMO.
totally. G+ is awesome BECAUSE the lack of those things. but currently there's less than 5 of my real life friends on here most of my friends see this as a geek's playground rather than a share tool.
yeah, after a few days I blocked all of the big name tech bloggers who were the only ones posting content at first... the Apple related news and photo tour of disney land every 10 minutes while on vacation sent me over the edge.
It seems that the US Tech journalists use it more than we do in the UK, a lot of the Twit.tv guests are on it. But I've searched for Bit-Tech\BBC Click and other UK Tech journalists and have almost none.
I like the concept of it and easy integration with Google Calendar and Picasa could really be win. It just sucks hardly anyone is active.
Honestly, the no games is something that, I hope, sticks with google+. I have had too many friends or advertisements spamming up my facebook with useless info about games/plugins
I haven't seen any limit on my Invites, so keep PMing me for an Invites I'm using the mute button more than +1 ....lol. ....I started out with Leo Laporte's circles than widdled down to People's streams I liked.
This. I just don't think it's as good as Facebook at the minute - fewer features, some bugs or unintuitive functionality (depending on how you look at it). You can tell it's beta. I think I'll leave it for a few months till Google fixes it up...
I'm going focus on blogging a mixture of what I consider cool stuff with PC case modding tossed in. Old and new stuff that inspires me like custom car & bike builders, tools, gadgets... I still have Invites left, just PM your Email addy.... My G+ Page
I really love the service, but as with all things in closed beta, not enough of my friends are actually using it right now for me to get a real experience with it. I'd really love to have more people to interact with on there, though- as that's what social networks are all about right?
I don't have enough friends on there to fully make use of it yet. So, so far it's way behind facebook.
Go out and make new friends, I started out by following the Tech Bloggers, comment on their posts, some would reciprocate and maybe you'll start a connection. I still have Invites left, just PM your Email addy.... My G+ Page
